India’s second-largest information technology services company, Infosys, landed in trouble after the phrase system intervention was used in its new work-from-office policy. The company assured staff that the system is not for monitoring but is an administrative one aimed at organizing the workplace for easier operations.

According to Times of India, Infosys’s new mandate requires the employees to work from office for at least 10 days in a month. The new mandate also said that the failure to meet the new guidelines would trigger a “system intervention” which raised concerns amongst the staff. Though this policy only applies to employees at job level 5 or below. Employees at JL6 or above do not come under this policy.

Understanding Infosys’ Work-From-Home Guidelines

Infosys has practiced a hybrid model for work flexibility since the pandemic, but current trends hint at a harder stance. The new Infosys work-from-home guidelines states that employees are required to come to office for a specific number of days a week. Remote working continues to be an option, but with the added requirement of managerial approval for WFH under special conditions.

This move follows larger industry trends, as IT companies are calling employees back to office premises in order to facilitate collaboration and productivity. Yet, the use of the term “Infosys system intervention” in internal messages created confusion, with many dreading greater surveillances over attendance and remote work compliance.

A senior executive at the company said, “Managers now enjoy the discretion to approve or deny a regularization request. A lot will also depend upon the relationship between an employee and their manager.”

Infosys System Intervention: What It Means

The term Infosys system intervention first triggered rumors that the company had instituted tracking devices for employee work hours and attendance. But Infosys has made it clear that the system is designed not to monitor individual workers but to enable office space planning and team coordination.

Through this system, says the company, managers will be able to monitor workforce allocation throughout various locations and provide sufficient seating and resources. It also makes it easier to plan for mixed teams and retain an effective working environment without causing any disruption in employee privacy.

With the updated Infosys work-from-office policy, employees are now expected to meet specific attendance criteria. While the company has not mandated full-time office presence, certain roles and projects require employees to be on-site for collaboration.

Employee Reactions and Industry Trends

Infosys’ decision is part of a wider trend across the IT sector, with companies closing the lid on remote work policies. Companies had largely welcomed hybrid work, but now they are urging staff to come back to offices. The reason behind this move is fears over team collaboration, productivity, and company culture.

Despite the explanations offered by Infosys, certain employees continue to fear the potential implications of these policies on work-life balance. Infosys continues to discuss matters with its employees and clarify doubts regarding a seamless implementation under the Infosys work-from-office policy.

As Infosys continues to evolve its hybrid work model, the equilibrium between flexibility and being in the office will be a priority concern for both employees and management.

Introduction

Are you an HR leader or team manager struggling to keep your employees motivated, productive, and connected? Finding the right employee engagement software can feel challenging.

Employee engagement is more important than ever. With hybrid work models, AI advancements, and a growing emphasis on well-being, organizations need tools that go beyond annual surveys to build real-time connections and enhance employee digital experience.

A report published by Gallup found that high employee engagement levels resulted in a 23% increase in profitability, a 14% increase in productivity, a 70% improvement in well-being, and a 78% decrease in absenteeism.

This article is your guide to the top seven employee engagement software solutions for 2025. We’ve curated this list based on features, user feedback, scalability, and innovation to help you make an informed decision.

What is Employee Engagement Software?

Employee engagement software is a digital platform designed to measure, analyze, and improve employee satisfaction, connection, and productivity.

These tools replace outdated annual surveys with real-time feedback loops, recognition systems, and AI-driven insights.

They help organizations:

  • Track engagement metrics like eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score).
  • Identify burnout risks and retention threats.
  • Build communication in remote/hybrid teams.
  • Align employee goals with company objectives.

Why Employee Engagement Software is Non-Negotiable in 2025

The workplace of 2025 is shaped by hybrid flexibility, generational shifts, and a fierce battle for talent. Amidst these trends, one undeniable truth remains: disengagement is costly. Gallup reports that low employee employment drains the global economy by $8.9 trillion, nearly 9% of global GDP. For businesses, this translates to significant financial losses due to high turnover, productivity gaps, and missed growth opportunities.

What to Look for in Employee Engagement Software

When evaluating employee engagement software, consider the following factors:

  • Ease of Use: The platform should be intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Customization: Look for tools that allow tailored surveys, recognition programs, and workflows.
  • Integration: Ensure compatibility with existing HR systems and communication tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
  • Analytics: Robust reporting and data visualization capabilities are crucial for tracking engagement trends.

Scalability: Choose a solution that can grow with your organization.

Now, let’s discuss the top 7 employee engagement software for 2025 in detail.

French startup Jump has raised $12 million in Series A Funding. TechCrunch reported that the funding round was led by Brrega. Raise Ventures and Index Ventures. In 2021, Jump raised $4.5 million.

Freelancer Stability

Jump gives full-time contracts to freelancers who want stability and desire to reap the benefits that full-time jobs offer. Once they sign up with Jump, freelancers can bill clients through the platform at the end of every month.

The company functions as an administrative platform while maintaining the independence of contracts. It allows users to generate payslips and receive a salary. This feature empowers freelancers to define the pay that works for them throughout the year, even during slow months.

Contractors who use the platform are free to work for multiple customers and negotiate contracts directly.

Healthcare and Pension

Jump freelancer benefits include registration of freelancers with the national healthcare system. The permanent contract that contractors receive enables them to contribute to the national pension scheme. The platform also offers users health insurance contractors, meal vouchers, and employee savings schemes.

Another important Jump employee benefit that freelancers get is a mortgage. Permanent contracts are particularly useful when buying a home and negotiating mortgages with banks in France. To use Jump, freelancers have to pay €99 each month. Corporate contributions are deducted directly from the user’s earnings. To date, 2,000 freelancers use the French startup Jump.

Newbie Offer

Jump recently announced a free offer for contractors who are starting their freelancing career. The newbie offer includes a free bank account with a virtual debit card that’s linked to Google Pay or Apple Pay.

The offer also comes with several software features that enable freelancers to bill their first clients. These features include a dashboard for tracking financial performance and an in-built invoice generator.

It’s pretty much in line with how freelancers work. They often get started with the basic French freelancer status, and then switch to another status when they begin to feel the limits of their freelancing status and they have enough revenue,” Jump’s Co-founder and CEO, Nicolas Fayon said.

Future Outlook

Moving forward, Jump is looking to support a wide range of independent contractors. Currently, the platform serves data engineers, software developers, sports coaches, project managers, and creative consultants. The French startup also plans to expand to other countries in the future, including the UK.

Like Workday and TalentQuest that leverage technology to streamline human resource functions for businesses, Jump makes it easier for freelancers to manage clients. Last month, Salesforce and Workday announced plans to launch an AI-powered service agent to automate routine tasks, offer data-driven insights, and provide personalized support to users. TalentQuest on the other hand developed an Analytic Solution that helps businesses revolutionize the way they use data to attract and retain employees.

HRTech company, Workday has exceeded investor expectations for quarter two revenue. The company reported $2.085 billion in total revenue, up from $1.787 billion last year. Shares of the HR software company experienced a 15% rise on Friday, the highest in about two years.

According to Yahoo Finance, the Workday share jump was triggered by an announcement that the company would increase profitability in the coming three years.

Workday specializes in enterprise applications that help businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions manage their human and financial resources.

Workday Share Profitability

Speaking on a conference call, Workday’s Chief Financial Officer Zane Rowe said the company’s adjusted operating margins are expected to reach 30% by January 2027. Workday had set this figure at 25% last year.

Rowe said Workday’s subscriptions, which are the main source of revenue for the company, will grow by about 15% over the same period. Carl Eschenbach, Workday’s Chief Executive Officer said that emphasis on profitability provides more cash for strategic growth initiatives.

Eschenbach also said that Workday will reduce operating costs by adopting selective hiring and leveraging AI in its finance departments and call centers. The HRTech company will be hiring more workers in India and Costa Rica.

Investor Disquiet

The long term Workday profitability outlook has helped to dislodge the disquiet previously expressed by investors about the company’s in-line quarterly results and annual sales forecast.

There were some positive nuggets in management’s outlook including a 17% increase in subscription revenue and a $1 billion share buyback program,” Running Point Capital’s Chief Investment Officer, Michael Ashley Schulman said

The US-based company also maintained its annual subscription forecast of $7.73 billion and an operating margin outlook of 25%.

We see a macroeconomic environment consistent with last quarter,” Rowe said.

Workday executives said that the company is reviewing its medium-term plans to fast track expansion and moderate its subscription revenue growth pace. In recent years, the company has introduced new features and made attempts to grow its customer base. In July, Workday partnered with Salesforce to build a collaborative AI tool.

Corporate Spending

Despite a slowing labor market, corporate spending on payroll and human resources among small and medium sized businesses has been increasing. Workday expects reduced hirings to dip its subscription revenue in quarter three.

Prior to the results announcement, analysts had highlighted the negative effect that corporate job cuts could have on software companies that charge customers per use. Workday said its subscription backlog was $6.8 billion.

Enterprises continue to remain in a cost-cutting mode with below-average headcount addition,” Bloomberg Intelligence Analyst, Anurag Rana said.

According to analysts, the company could also experience longer sales cycles as a result of higher inflation and cost of borrowing. Overall, Workday’s results point to a tough environment for expanding the customer base.

Workday reported a $1.75 profit per share for the period ended July 31. The company announced a 49 cents earnings per share, 10 cents more than the 30 cents announced in the same period last year.
